Conceptual sketches of various items, furniture and vehicles from Octavia’s world.
Experimenting with illustration styles. This type of illustration would most likely fit in between the story chapters, revealing something about the upcoming events.
‘The town where time stood still held even more to itself than meets the eye.’
A few environment/city structure concepts for the town of Octavia, which will be the main setting for the story. I am still looking for a name for the town – I have dozens of different options, just need to select the most suitable one.
I am currently working on the story script, but in the meantime constantly developing the world further. I will (hopefully!) post early drafts of the actual chapters soon, as well as development sketches and conceptual ideas.
There was once a girl who was very peculiar in every way.
Born at eight o’clock with eight ringlets of hair, the girl was destined to be called Octavia.
Octavia wasn’t exactly one of those people you see dozens of on every street and corner. On the contrary, her appearance was quite extraordinary.
And she had a secret.
Written alongside this song
I’ve been thinking about this project a lot lately, and I’ve come to a conclusion that the best way to present it is in the form of a story.
I will keep posting concept art and illustrations, but I will post them alongside captions of the story I’m developing. I will start from the very beginning with an ‘introduction/first chapter’ and then continue with posting bits and pieces of the story and introducing the characters, places and other things Octavia’s world contains.
The first ‘story caption’ will be posted later this week!
